Happy new year to you all, I know it has been a while. I would not want to bore you with the story and will just get right to it. I love creamy pasta and I have been wondering what goat meat will taste like in it so I gave it a go.
- 350g fettuccine or any pasta you prefer.
- Goat meat chopped into small pieces.
- 1 medium onion finely chopped divided.
- Bouillon cubes.
- Dry pepper.
1pound large shrimp peeled and deveined.
Salt and black pepper to taste.
6 tablespoons unsalted butter divided.
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Put chopped goat meat in a clean pot, add onions, bouillon cubes, dry pepper and salt to season. Cook till tender and set aside.
Cook the pasta in salted water according to package directions.
Rinse and pat dry your shrimp. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoon butter. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until the shrimp turns pink. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Lower the heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter to the pan.When the butter is melted, add the remaining chopped onions and allow to fry. Then add chopped garlic. You want the garlic to become aromatic but not too brown .
Whisk in the heavy cream and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Put the heat to low and whisk in the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously, until the cheese has melted.
Add salt and pepper to sauce. (Be careful while adding salt)
Add your drained pasta, goat meat and shrimp to pan and toss well making sure the pasta absorbs the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and top with more grated Parmesan if you wish.
